David Simons owns a small Architecture, Engineering and Planning firm based in Southern California. As the Principle Licensed Architect and Licensed Civil Engineer with 20 years of experience, I guided the policy and operations for projects ranging from $5 million retail facilities to $30 million hospitality facilities. David currently holds a Top Secret Security Clearance. As an Engineering Officer in the US Air Force Reserve, David has experience managing more than $300 million in construction. David was most recently the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) OIC over southwest Afghanistan. He was responsible for supporting CJENG with large scale construction projects in Helmand and Nimroz provinces totaling more than $1.3 billion in net worth. During previous deployments David was the Air Force, Master Planner supporting the US Army in the western part of Northern Afghanistan. He worked closely with the US Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) in Afghanistan to coordinate Title 22 and Title 10 dollar projects to include helping with the Ring Road in Faryab Province. He was responsible for a team of 10 Officers and Enlisted members that managed all planning, programing, design, construction, and project management for all Title 10 projects in North West and parts of West Afghanistan.
